E189: The Just the Two of Us Episode: Vol. 3

It's that time of year again. It's hot, it's sweaty and it's definitely greasy. With summer upon us, some of the spooky boys are out of town and the review duties have fallen upon the supple, able shoulders of Dylan and Manton who are bringing you the third ever two-boy episode. First, we try our best to get upgraded but we're still just garbage compared to the dude in Upgrade (2018). Next, we tell you all about how much better we would be at time traveling than the main character in Timecrimes (2007). Finally, we get nude, slather ourselves in grease and strangle each other while watching The Greasy Strangler (2016).

E188: The Dylan Birthday Boy Episode, Year III

This week the spooky boys would have gotten together to celebrate cast-dad-Dylan's birthday, but Blootster found himself trapped in another state, and Devon found himself trapped in hell. So this week, Dylan, Manton and two emergency guest hosts got together to celebrate Dylan's birthday with four films "gifted" to him by his co-hosts! First we put on our gimp-suits and run rampant in Blootster's pick, The People Under the Stairs (1991). Next, we attend yet another dinner-party-gone-wrong in Devon's pick, Coherence (2013). Finally, we catch up with our good friend Nic Cage and watch him lose his mind in Manton's pick, Mom and Dad (2018).

E187: The Blootster Birthday Boy Episode, Year III

This week the Spooky Boys celebrate Blootster (somehow) managing to survive another year into his life! Devon, Dylan and Manton each chose a film to "gift" to Blootster, but whether each pick was intended to punish or entertain will be up to you to decide. First, we take a look into the mirror and are deeply horrified by what we see in Devon's pick, Oculus (2013). Next, we try our best to understand the severe lack of genitalia in Dylan's pick, One-Eyed Monster (2008). Finally, we get hunted down by a pile of junk in Manton's pick, Hardware (1990).

E186: The Paranormal Investigation Episode

This week the spooky boys are going on a ghost hunt! Grab your spirit boxes and gel your dyed black hair because we are making some major paranormal connections this episode. First, we get locked in an asylum full of open-CGI-mouth-ghosts in Grave Encounters (2011). Next, we hear the "true" story of a haunted house in Indiana in Demon House (2018). Finally, we enter the Parisian Catacombs in search of some National Treasure shit and get a bunch of ghosts instead in As Above, So Below (2014).

E184: The Half-O-Ween Marathon 2018 Episode

We're nearly halfway to the only holiday that matters in this universe: Halloween! In honor of "Half-O-Ween", the spooky boys attended an outdoor marathon put on by some of our lovely listeners. First, we are all taken by surprise by the mere existence of Fright Night Part 2 (1988). Next, we experience some extreme quality-whiplash courtesy of Evil Ed (1995). Finally, we wrap things up with our last remaining film (or "froovie") in Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy: City of the Living Dead (1980).

E183: The Legends/Tales Episode

This week the spooky boys (attempt to) watch three films that deal with legends and scary tales! First, we get dressed in our finest over-sized plaid shirts and gather around the campfire for the 90's anthology Campfire Tales (1997). Next, we sit back and listen to the sweet voice of Professor Robert Englund as he fills us in on an Urban Legend (1998). Finally, we attempt to watch the new film Ghost Stories but realize that it's not actually out yet and just say fuck it and watch The Mutilator (1984) instead!

E182: The Quiet Episode

this week the spooky boys keep things silent (but not really silent because those movies are old and boring) by reviewing three movies with quiet in the title! also we won't be using any capital letters in this description because that's how you stay quiet on the internet! first, (some of us) delved deep into the occult and felt the noize in the quiet ones (2014). next, we sit together in silence to watch the dark "comedy" the quiet family (1998). finally, we talk about the main reason this episode exists: a quiet place (2018).

First, we get taken on a typical romantic drive and kill a few bullies in the 80s with Christine (1983). Next, we find ourselves wishing we were watching True Detective instead of Jessabelle (2014). Finally, we won't lie to you, this whole theme was pretty much an excuse to check out Veronica (2017).

E176: The Death Game Episode

This week the spooky boys locked themselves in the studio and fought to the death for your amusement! Okay, so maybe we didn't kill each other this time, but we DID watch three films about other people doing it. First, we subject ourselves to the experiment in tonal dissonance that is The Belko Experiment (2016). Next, we take the premise of the last movie much less seriously with Mayhem (2017). Finally, we take a look at the movie that arguably started it all, Battle Royale (2000)

E172: The Episode Where the Horrorble Podcast Talks About Horror Movies as Usual Except this Time All of the Movies Have Unusually Long Titles Episode

This week the spooky boys decided to push the stupidity in picking a theme to the absolute limit by choosing to review three films that pushed their title length to the absolute limit. First we listen to scary poetry and question the nature of a haunted house in I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House (2016). Next, we question the nature of film making and existence itself in The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!? (1964). Finally, we know it's only fringe at best but we really couldn't resist talking about I Don't Feel at Home in this World Anymore (2017).
